Berkshire ARTs Academy, BARTA provide training that is devised to meet the needs of the young performer.
Berkshire ARTs Academy, BARTA focus on a building a performing skills toolkit to unlock a childs potential for the future. Our time is focused on providing tutoring in dance, acting and singing techniques.
Berkshire ARTs Academy, BARTA training provides the foundation to audition, rehearse and perform in a range of shows outside of the academy. Every second year we plan to stage a big musical to a large audience in a local theatre.
We do not believe performing in shows should be a substitute for learning core techniques. Being able to get through a song in a show is all well and good but, BARTA believe, it is of greater value to learn the correct techniques, for example, vocal warm ups, vocal exercises, posture, pitch, rhythm, breath, voice and diction.
